European Vacation!

I went to Europe in March/April but I'm only getting to the photos now. Here are the highlights of my macaron hunt :)

McDo Macarons at the Louvre

McDo Macarons at the Louvre
Macarons at "McDo" in the Louvre. This is where I bought my first Parisian macarons. I have to say they were pretty good!

Another macaron glamor shot, of the box and the stand up ad at the McDo at the Louvre.

On our bus tour we were supposed to shop in a department store, but the captain and I ventured out and found the famous Pierre Herme macarons. It was a sight to see!

Giant Macarons

I didn't purchase one of these but they looked so delicious!

My purchase

My purchase
Six lovely macarons, which sadly I left until the next morning, and due to the heat they were totally soggy.

Luxemburgerli in Lucerne

Luxemburgerli in Lucerne
If that's not a mouthful I don't know what is! Here is a bigger than life representation of the luxemburgerli, which are like swiss macarons. They are a bit more petite and thus look more filled than Parisian macarons but they probably have the same height of filling, just have a smaller cookie

So petite and delicious looking!

  1. Lol it was, and I took even more dessert and food photos, so much so that a guy on the trip asked if I had a food blog.

  2. Can you believe McD's sells macarons over there? Why can't the American McD's sell them, too? Totally can eat those yummy giant macarons you're standing next to at Luxemburgerli! Looks like you had great fun on your vacation. Enjoyed your mac-hunting photos!

  3. I couldn't believe it either, but they were pretty good! I would totally buy them here if they had them at McDonald's!
